I've only met one ...

I've only met one person who didn't like the Beatles..an ex girlfriend back in the 70's who liked Disco and her reasoning for not liking them was" you can't dance it." The Beatles defined the 60's with their music and created it's sound track for the better part of that decade. Fitting that this album was their last one recorded before they broke up to close with and mark the finale of the 60's at the same time. ( "Let It Be" was recorded before this album but released after "Abby Road" )

I drove across the ...

I drove across the Abbey Road pedestrian crossing at the weekend (20th April), even after 43 years since the album cover picture was taken there are still loads of people nearly getting run over to get a shot of the crossing by standing in the middle of the road with their cameras. As far as the music is concerned, it is the Beatles reaching their full maturity and for me it is them at their best.
